Pewaukee Lake Water Ski Show | Pewaukee Lake | Monday, Sept. 5

In terms of family-friendliness, there’s really nothing better, since seeing your kids light up at the sight of a human pyramid will be something you’ll cherish forever. Or cherish at least until you hear, “Mom, Dad, can I try that?”
Maxwell Street Days | Cedarburg | Sunday, Sept. 4
One of the great traditions in southeast Wisconsin is Cedarburg’s Maxwell Street Days, which celebrates the end of its 50th summer hosting this event. Over 600 vendors descend on Fireman’s Park, with all sorts of antiques, collectibles, farm items, old toys and much more. Of course, there’s also a great deal of food and fun, and the gates open bright and early at 6am. Get there early.
