4th July fireworks

Wisconsin is an absolute blast during the summer months, and this is never more true than over the 4th of July. There are all sorts of exciting events scheduled to help celebrate our country, many of which are free to the public. But which 4th of July events and fireworks shows are the best of the bunch? EVS Auto Group has scoured the internet for clues, and here’s what we’ve found.

4th of July Events and Fireworks 2016 | Milwaukee, WI

Fireworks Kite Festival — July 3rd

One of the most famous events during the summer in Milwaukee is the Fireworks Kite Festival, which features some of the largest kites you’ll ever see, all being flown over beautiful Lake Michigan. This runs all day at Veterans Memorial Park, and is followed at 9:25 with the annual fireworks celebration. It’s free to the public and fun for the whole family.

4th July fireworksTake in Summerfest — June 29th through July 10th (No shows on July 4th)

There’s very little that could be said about Summerfest that hasn’t been said before, so we’ll just get to the point: all of your favorite bands, so much fantastic people watching, and a lifetime of memories. There are no shows on July 4th proper, although there are many acts in the days leading up to and immediately following it. We recommend trying to see Tim McGraw on July 3rd, as well as Blink 182 on July 5th.

Gordon Park Fireworks — July 4th

There are many wonderful parks and neighborhoods in Milwaukee, but we’re partial to the one on Locust Street. This features a whole day of events, starting with the bike decorating prior to the parade. The parade begins at 11am, and is followed by a long day of live music, before the fireworks are set off at approximately 9:15pm.

Menomonee Falls Parade and Fireworks — July 3rd

As you know, EVS Auto Group has locations all over southeast Wisconsin. Two of these locations are found in Menomonee Falls, home to one of the state’s better 4th of July celebrations. It kicks off with a parade at 7pm, and is followed by fireworks at dusk. If you’re reading this in Menomonee Falls, this event is not to be missed.
