How many people can sit inside the 2019 Chevrolet Traverse?
One reason why so many shoppers are interested in SUVs is that they inherently have more space. The Traverse comes with three rows of seating, good for enough room for eight total occupants. With all seats upright, there are 157 total cubic feet available in passenger volume. What about cargo room? We mentioned versatility. Any SUV should be spacious for passengers but also have plenty of room for cargo and equipment.

2019 Chevy Traverse interior cargo capacity
Initially, there are 23 cubic feet of cargo room available. That is with all seats upright. When the third row of seats is folded down, the cargo space nearly triples to 57.8 cubic feet. You guessed it, there’s even more. The middle row of seats can also be folded and that makes for a whopping 98.2 cubic feet of cargo volume. Of course, this limits the passenger capacity to just two, but it’s good to know the Traverse will be there for you no matter what the situation is.
