Every other trim level, however, can be equipped with a 310-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine. Both six-speed and nine-speed automatic transmissions are available, and all trims can be fitted with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Now, how efficient is the 2019 LaCrosse? When equipped with the base engine, the 2019 Buick LaCrosse averages up to 35 highway mpg and 25 city mpg. The V-6 engine contributes to up to 30 highway mpg and 20 city mpg, as more horsepower generally means a worse fuel economy. Still, the V-6 LaCrosse is respectably efficient and a thrill to drive.
