Engine options of the 2019 Buick Encore 
There are two different engines available for the 2019 Encore. The base option is a 138-horsepower, 1.4-liter inline four-cylinder (I-4) engine. This engine puts out 148 lb.-ft. of torque at 1,850 rpm. A second option with slightly more horsepower is available on all trims above the base level. That engine is also a 1.4-liter I-4 motor but it’s powered by 153 horses. Efficiency-wise, the Encore ranks well in its class. Drivers can average up to 30 highway mpg, 25 city mpg, and 26 combined mpg. The Encore comes with a six-speed automatic transmission and is available with both front-wheel and all-wheel drive.

2019 Buick Encore interior space
As a crossover SUV, the Encore comes with certain interior versatility expectations. The seating capacity tops out at five, but the cargo space is where it really matters. With all seats upright, the Encore has 18.8 cubic feet of cargo volume. The rear seats can be folded down and that more than doubles your cargo room to 48.4 cubic feet.
