Trims & Options
The 2018 Volkswagen Atlas is available in five trim levels, the S, Launch Edition, SE, SEL, and SEL Premium. Only the 2018 Atlas S gets a standard 2.0L Turbo engine under the hood that delivers 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, the VW Atlas S can also be equipped with an optional 3.6L V6 engine that cranks out 276 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque. This 3.6L V6 comes standard across the other four trim levels and pairs with an 8-Speed Automatic Transmission with Tiptronic® & Sport Mode to average EPA fuel economy estimates of 18 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. 4MOTION® All-Wheel Drive is available on all five trim levels and comes standard on the SEL Premium edition and when the 3.6L V6 engine works with 4MOTION®, the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas’ fuel efficiency dips slightly to 17 MPG City/ 23 MPG HWY.
