By Product Expert | Posted in New Chevy Models on Wednesday, March 8th, 2017 at 10:13 pmIt was only a few weeks ago when we first revealed the all-new 2018 Chevy Equinox, a compact crossover SUV set to arrive at EVS Auto later this year. Not to be outdone, we’ve also received the first information regarding its 2018 Chevy Traverse sibling, the appealing midsize crossover SUV that will be joining it in our showroom. We’ve just received the first account of what we can expect, so let’s take a closer look.
2018 Chevy Traverse Release Date | Milwaukee, WI
2018 Chevy Traverse Styling Details
Much like its Equinox brethren, the Traverse has undergone a full reimagining for the upcoming model year. Gone are the sloping lines of its predecessor, which have been replaced with more dynamic, muscular angles. Inside, buyers can expect the Traverse to offer best-in-class max passenger volume, as well as best-in-class third-row legroom and seating for up to eight occupants.
2018 Chevy Traverse Performance
Available with the choice of a 2.0L Turbo or a 3.6L V6 engine, the Traverse employs a nine-speed automatic transmission and advanced twin-clutch AWD to offer smooth confidence in all driving conditions. Meanwhile, with four available driving modes with new Traction Mode Select — Normal, 4×4/Snow, Off-Road and Tow/Haul — drivers can cater their performance to the specific conditions they find themselves in.
2018 Chevy Traverse Tech Features
The tech features of the Traverse continue to improve, starting with the available OnStar 4G LTE WiFi connection. Compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Chevy MyLink display lets users access apps, just as they would on their smartphone. Finally, with Teen Driver Technology, parents can keep tabs on how their kids are driving when eyes aren’t on them.
2018 Chevy Traverse Safety Features
The new Traverse also exceeds expectations where safety is concerned, offering up to 14 advanced safety technologies. The Traverse uses cameras, radar and ultrasonic sensors to assess surroundings for potential hazards, helping to bolster the confidence of all occupants inside.
