Three Outstanding Powertrains

The mission of the 2017 Escape is right there in the name, and that’s why three engines are offered to let you forge your own path. Standard is a 2.5L inline four-cylinder, which is rated for 168 hp along with an EPA-estimated 29 highway mpg. Then, two of Ford’s popular EcoBoost engines are available, both offering Auto Start-Stop technology. First up is a 1.5L option that offers 179 hp and up to 30 highway mpg, while the available 2.0L Twin-Scroll option delivers 245 hp, 275 lb-ft of torque, and 29 highway mpg on its way to a 3,500-pound towing capacity.

The New Sport Appearance Package

The Escape has always been one of the crossover SUV segment’s more stylish options, but it’s with the new Sport Appearance Package that it truly puts the competitors in its rearview. Available on the SE and Titanium trim levels, this package features unique blackout trimmings, sport seats, a leather-trimmed shift lever and steering wheel, and unique moldings and fittings throughout. If you’re looking for the best looking Escape on record, this is your huckleberry.

A Welcoming Interior Cabin

The 2017 Ford Escape’s interior cabin has been fully reimagined for the new model year, and convenience was at the forefront of the overall scheme. The center technology stack now features a great media bin for holding phones or music players, while the gear shifter has been more ergonomically placed as well. New cargo-carrying cubbies have been added, along with a new center instrument panel. All in all, this is one terrific place to enjoy your next road trip.
